I am a developmental biology researcher, drawn to how forms emerge - how cells organise, communicate, and transform to build something complex and alive. But outside the lab, I have never felt easily defined. Not just a scientist, not just one thing. If anything, the only constant has been change.<\/p>
\u201cAmorphic\u201d felt like the closest fit: not fixed, not confined to a single shape, but continuously evolving - much like the way form emerges in the systems I study.<\/em><\/p> The same pattern plays out everywhere. People come together, interact, signal, and over time, something structured and meaningful emerges: a lab, a department, a field, a community. Amorphic<\/strong> ties these different structures together - it is about how living systems take shape and how we find shape in the communities around us.<\/p> This shop is a way of giving those ideas a form - through designs that represent fields, groups, and the spaces where people feel they belong.<\/p> I am partnering with Teemill not just because they print the designs, but because of how they do it - using organic cotton, renewable energy, and circular production practices. It also helps that the shirts themselves are super soft, comfortable, and hold up well whether you are in the lab or out talking about something wonderfully niche (and yes, a size L doubles very well as cosy pyjamas for a petite person).<\/p> At its core, Amorphic is about transformation, connection, and belonging.
